"United Airlines Missed Opportunity To Improve Passenger Experience With Boeing 787," Analyst Said.

United Airlines didn’t exactly “wow” people when it unveiled the interior of its first Boeing 787 last week. Whilst aviation enthusiasts continue to wax poetic about the common attributes of all 787s – super-sized dimmable windows and luggage bins; and a cornucopia of LED lighting settings – some flyers have expressed their disappointment at United, decrying everything from the carrier’s decision not to adopt the 787′s striking arching entryway to its choice of seats and upholstery.

Check Out My New Blog - "Cycling Dynamics."

                                         Ojai Century (100 Miles), 06-02-2012

In addition to all things aviation, I am also addicted to all things cycling.  Physically, it is good for you, a whole lot of fun, and it is way easier on the knees than running (which I used to do a lot of).

While Totally Jacked Up Aircraft Photos is all about the pictures, Cycling Dynamics will allow me to explore the limits of body and equipment, plus product reviews, rides reports, racing, riding clubs, and public policy via one of my other passions - Writing.

Come along for the ride.  It is going to be a good one.

However, there is a hitch in the program according to the staff at Apex Editor's Blog.

"Proclaiming that the Boeing 787 was well worth the wait United Airlines today unveiled the twinjet’s interior to great fanfare. But behind the scenes, the carrier has been pressing the airframer to cut into production and start installing the latest-generation inflight entertainment systems as well as airborne connectivity on the long-delayed aircraft."

Alaska Airlines Apologises For MX Message On 737.

Photo: Reddit

Posted on FlightBlogger August 03, 2012

Alaska Airlines says on Twitter this perhaps unfortunate maintenance message, which went viral on reddit this week, was "inappropriate", and, more ominously, "we have followed up w/ the team". (Uh-oh.)

But there may have been good reasons why the maintenance team wrote a message that some passengers clearly interpreted as unintentionally funny and/or scary.

In the reddit discussion forum, where the picture was originally posted, a self-identified Delta Air Lines employee, says such a message does wonders to reduce paperwork. "Marking apparent damage prevents reports from being filed at each station at which the aircraft arrives," he says.

Passengers sitting over the wing, of course, have no way of knowing that.
