Robert A. "Bob" Hoover, January 24, 1922 – October 25, 2016.

Sad news today, folks, with the passing of Aviation Legend, Robert A. "Bob" Hoover.

A man with a legacy worthy of many book (and movies), he led a life many could only dream of, and he was a gentleman, to boot!

We, here at Totally Jacked Up Aircraft Photos, had the honor to meet the man, and watch his airshow performances, many times.  Unlike many airshow pilots today, with a fraction of Mr. Hoover's talents, Bob always had time for the fans, and was always extremely gracious.

We mourn his loss, and wish him God Speed - Bob, we don't make 'em like you, anymore!

Howard Hughes' Former B-25 Executive Transport Needed New Wingtips. So, They Called In Master Fabricator Evan Wilcox.

The aircraft, N3968C, is currently being restored, and since parts aren't exactly available at your local store, stuff has to be sourced, or made.
