It's Friday! Time For a Little Reflection.

LAX 2005 - Before the LAWA Storm Troopers moved in, spotter's could pull right up to the fence.

There was a time at Los Angeles International Airport - LAX (The "Reflecting" part of this story), when spotting was not only legal, but welcome.  Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) personnel were friendly, helpful, and waves to famlies of spotter's from Airport Police were a common sight.  Then, power and paranoia set in, and the airport was never the same.

After 9/11 happened, stupidity, paranoia, and outright hunger for power set in, and We The People were soon all seen as suspects.  Instead of chasing the actual "Bad People," airports across the nation, and especially LAX, set in motion a policy of "No Lookie, No Touchy" against the common citizen.  And, why not.  We The People are easy prey and follow the rules, while Terrorists are hard to catch and NEVER follow the rules.

Take a good look at the photo above, as this activity is now as extinct as Common Sense is at LAX.

A loyal viewer wrote in wondering why we post pictures of trains.  Well, we happen to like airplanes a whole lot, and it just so happens we like trains, too.  In addition, it is our blog, SO THERE!

Before You Bag On Another Airline, Check Out How Delta Airlines Honors Those Whom Have Paid The Ultimate Sacrifice.

In a tremendous show of respect, the Color Guard are not United States Military personnel, but regular Delta Airlines Rampers.

Special thanks to Commander John Flores for submitting this video clip.
